Water Hauler
Position Title:
Water Hauler / Water Truck Operator
Industry: Oil & Gas, Construction, Industrial, Municipal
Reports To: Site Supervisor / Operations Manager
Job Overview:
The Water Hauler is responsible for operating a water truck to transport and distribute water for various
industrial and construction activities. Duties include loading, hauling, and applying water for dust control, soil
compaction, drilling support, and other site-specific requirements. Operators must ensure the safe and
efficient operation of the vehicle in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate water trucks to transport water to and from job sites

Fill tanks using suction hoses or fill stations
-
Spray water for dust control, road maintenance, or compaction
-
Assist with water supply for drilling rigs or hydro-vac operations
-
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
-
Monitor water levels, pressure, and flow to ensure efficient use
-
Maintain accurate records of loads, mileage, and hours of service
-
Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards
-
Communicate with site supervisors and dispatch regarding job needs
-
Perform basic maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications:

Valid Class 3 or Class 1 driver's license with air brake endorsement

Clean driver's abstract (preferred)

Experience with water trucks or tanker operations (preferred)

Knowledge of safe loading/unloading procedures

Vac Hauler
Position Title:
Vac Hauler / Vacuum Truck Operator

Reports To: Site Supervisor / Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The Vac Hauler is responsible for safely operating vacuum trucks to transport and dispose of liquid and semi-solid waste from drilling rigs, tank sites, industrial plants, and environmental clean-up operations. This position requires a strong focus on safety, environmental compliance, and operational efficiency in potentially hazardous work environments.
Primary Responsibilities:

Operate vacuum trucks to safely load, transport, and offload fluids such as drilling mud, waste liquids, and production water

Perform confined space entry and assist with cleaning tanks, sumps, and pits
-
Hook up hoses and monitor suction/discharge of materials to prevent spills
-
Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report mechanical issues
-
Ensure all loads are documented accurately with manifests and disposal tickets
-
Respond to on-site emergencies, including spill containment and cleanup
-
Communicate clearly with dispatch and field supervisors for job coordination
-
Follow company safety policies, provincial regulations, and environmental procedures
-
Maintain cleanliness and functionality of equipment and work area
Qualifications:

Valid Class 1 or Class 3 driver’s license with air brakes endorsement

Experience operating vacuum trucks in oilfield or industrial settings (preferred)
-
Confined Space Entry and H2S Alive certifications (or willingness to obtain)

Strong knowledge of safe handling and transport of hazardous materials

Ability to work long shifts, including nights and weekends in remote locations

Physically fit and capable of lifting, climbing, and working in adverse conditions
-
High attention to detail with a safety-first attitude
Working Conditions:

May involve exposure to hazardous substances and confined spaces
